The history of firework
When and where firework was invented?
It is unclear but it is said to be in1225 at China.
When did Japanese watch firework first? It is unsolved question now. But when gunpowder was brought in Japan is clear. It is in 1543. Technologies of firework have progressed with technologies of gunpowder.
So gunpowder is very important when we refer to firework. Gunpowder was brought in Japan with the rifle. When these things were brought in to Japan, Japan was in the age of war. So technologies of gunpowder have developed.
After the age of war people who have studied gunpowder for arms lost their jobs. So they started to study gunpowder to please people who lived in the age of peace.
About 1650 the first toyfirework was sold. And in 1717 the first firework that exploded in the sky was invented. But the color of fireworks this time was only orange and size was very small when compare with present firework. About 1900 many kinds of new chemical objects were brought in Japan. So fireworks became to have a lot of color. Today people who engaged in fireworks study ecological firework. Usually fireworks were set off near a river. If fireworks have bad chemical object, the river will become dirty. So people who concern with fireworks try not to use harmful chemical objects.
